Poorly made suitcase

I bought this less than a year ago and used it 5 times, but the sides and the top of the suitcase are already very scratched up. The plastic looks cheap as the scratches are very visible. For a new suitcase the quality is terrible. The fabric on the top of the suitcase around the zipper also ripped and you can see the white part underneath. I am hoping Samsonite will replace this suitcase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
