Poorly made suitcase

I bought this less than a year ago and used it 5 times, but the sides and the top of the suitcase are already very scratched up. The plastic looks cheap as the scratches are very visible. For a new suitcase the quality is terrible. The fabric on the top of the suitcase around the zipper also ripped and you can see the white part underneath. I am hoping Samsonite will replace this suitcase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the perfect carryon for traveling abroad. We travel quite a bit and never check a bag. This carryon can handle 3 weeks of clothes, toiletries etc for 3 weeks. The design is perfect and makes excellent use of the packing space. I had replaced a previous carryon with the same dimensions with this Samsonite because of space. The amount I put into samsonite would NOT git into the previous carryon. And I love the look. Also, the wheels are far superior and roll with ease. Highly recommend. Just used it for 22 days in Europe and it was perfect!

Excellent quality. Unfortunately, I cannot provide details related to the date of purchase, price, etc excuse this luggage was a Christmas gift from my son, and this is the first time that I'm using it.
