I received this as a birthday present. I travel monthly and my family knew I needed a quality upgrade. The zipper lasted about 4 months. Pretty disappointing as I’ve had cheaper brands last longer.

Here's what I like: The finish is flat black, I do not like high gloss finishes! Unfortunately, the Samsonite website photos show all of their black suitcases as flat, some are actually extremely shining. I like this single zipper non expandable suitcase, less to deal with and it feels more solid. The wheels function well. I'm sure that the first time that I have to check it, an airline will test their ability to withstand blunt force trauma!

So far I’m very happy with the suitcase. I’m always hesitant to check bags in with airlines. I get an up close view of the way in which bags are handled, I work for an airline.
I’m always nervous that rollers can handle the abuse. I often see wheels laying around the ramp that have been broken off roller bags such as this one. I’m going to trust the Samsonite name and hope the baggage handlers aren’t too rough with it. After all, I want it to last!

Disappointing quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this thing for less than a year and one of my zippers fell out. I have no idea how to get it back on because the zipper start area is sown in. I hope I can get warranty
