Excellent travel companion

I bought a medium Outline Pro (and two carry on size) for an international trip which we just completed. This suitcase was a great buy and held up very well. In fact, it looks brand new. No scratches or dents even with the hard use of an international flight. It is super roomy and has an extra zipper to expand even more if you need it. .The wheels are sturdy and it is easy to guide. It's not the lightest suitcase around but it is well worth the extra ounces. I wholeheartedly recommend the Outline Pro for any travel needs.

Mars Red is not as pictured

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered the Mars Red and the color is nothing close to what is portrayed in the pictures. In person, it is more like a pink/flesh tone. it seems the Digital renderings on this page are not accurate and the photos in the review are from older versions of this model.

Incorrect Dimensions on Website

My Outline Pro Medium Spinner just arrived. Upon opening it, it looked small so I measured it. The website lists it’s dimensions as 28x19.6x13.4 totaling 61 cu inch (which is why I bought it, I wanted something right up to the 62 cu inch limit on most airlines).
Upon measuring it, the actual dimensions are 27x18.6x12 totaling less than 58 cu inches, more than 3 cu inches smaller than stated. The Samsonite tags attached to it is more accurate and states 27x18.7x12.5. I wish the website would have been accurate and I would not have ordered it. I got this to replace a very large (worn out) soft-sided bag for an upcoming Europe/Middle East two week trip. I’m afraid this probably won’t meet my needs. Please correct your website spec’s listing.

Challenging zippered section design

Although this is a sturdy case, the design of the zippered compartment side is very challenging since it opens at the bottom of the case instead of the top like most of the Samsonite product line. If you have your case on a luggage rack in the hotel, your clothes tend to fall out of zippered compartment when it is opened. The only alternative is to open this case flat on the floor. Very bad design feature for this specific product line.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice organization, but case scratches easily

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, overall, this outline pro medium spinner has some good points. It’s lightweight, which is nice. It’s my first hard shell suitcase, and I do like the ability to organize better using two sides than in a one-sided soft sider, even though I can’t pack in quite as much. Handle worked fine. Wheels worked well, but I’m concerned how long they will last given their construction; we shall see.
However, I’m quite disappointed in how scraped up my new suitcase got on its very first use on a trip to Europe a couple months ago. Definitely not as durable as I’d hoped. Looks like I’ve used it for years of trips already. Sad. (See the pic.)
