Zipper Broke After Two Trips

I bought this suitcase because I love Samsonite luggage and its quality. But after two flights/trips, the expandable zipper broke making it so my suitcase is always loose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not sure about durability

I wanted to love this suitcase. Very roomy and light, lots of nice features. Took it on one trip as a checked bag. When it got off the luggage carousel the handle wouldn’t extend. Got it home and unzipped the liner to see the metal bracket that holds the hands is completely bent. We’ll have to have it repaired. Not sure if we’ll keep it. Would be good for car trips when you can care for it personally.

NOT Scratch Resistant!

I received the 3-piece Samsonite OUTLINE PRO in Shiraz Burgundy for Christmas 2023. I registered all 3 pieces on 12/25/23 because I was excited to use them the following day for a vacation to Mexico. I noticed that they scratched easily when I laid them on our hardwood floors to pack. They did NOT fair well on the trip. After one use, the 2 pieces are completely covered in scratches & look like I’ve had them for 5 years and they’re barely 2 weeks old.
Pros: Great design. Light weight. I love the color: Shiraz Burgundy
Cons: NOT scratch resistant.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap Handle - like others have complained

The retractable handle broke at the beginning of a 3 month European trip! The difficulty of traveling with no handle and no way to have it repaired without buying a new piece of luggage (defeats the point of the warranty). I am not going to repeat what others have said. Basically, the handle did not hold up under the weight. It snapped in the airport. UGH. Getting it repaired/replaced internationally has not been easy. Help!

Doesn’t seem like it will last the test of time but it’s a pretty pink carry on. Only tried on southwest over bins and fit great.

Excellent travel companion

I bought a medium Outline Pro (and two carry on size) for an international trip which we just completed. This suitcase was a great buy and held up very well. In fact, it looks brand new. No scratches or dents even with the hard use of an international flight. It is super roomy and has an extra zipper to expand even more if you need it. .The wheels are sturdy and it is easy to guide. It's not the lightest suitcase around but it is well worth the extra ounces. I wholeheartedly recommend the Outline Pro for any travel needs.

Great bag but vulnerable to airline abuse

Bought this not long ago. On the second flight it came out scratched and scuffed, which I can accept. But there is also a puncture in the upper corner that has left a lip. Now I'm afraid of that spot getting caught again and the puncture being ripped further open. I didn't notice until after going through customs and immigration. After that the airline didn't want to hear about and has refused any compensation.
Bottom line: It's a great bag, but check it carefully for damage before leaving the baggage claim area.
