I love this heater/fan!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great heater/fan for the size. It warms up the family room very quickly and I can't believe how quiet it is! It is easy to use and stays relatively cool to the touch. The only downfall I found, and I'm not even sure it this is really a downfall, is that the safety turnoff for if the fan is tipped over is very sensitive. All it took to turn it off was my dog walking close to it and it tripped the safety and turned it off. It didn't even tip over. Like I said, it's not even a downfall, more of an annoyance. All in all, I really like this heater and it works very well for it's intended purpose!
Pros: Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Heats the Whole Room, Quiet, Safe

We use this in our bedroom during the winter and I had purchased one a couple of years ago. Never had any problems with it. Then it stopped working an I noticed in the back it started to melt the back of the grill. So I had to get another one and it runs fine heats the room up great like the original one we had. Nothing has over heated in the back of the grill. Haven't neede to use the fan yet. But since may is around the corner we will be storing it back in the box for next winter. Let's hope I don't have another one like the first one.
Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this heater for about a week now. It is perfect timing, it's just getting cold here and I'm not ready to turn on my furnace yet. I really like this heater. I like the smaller size. I like the look and design of it as well. It is programmable to the temperature in degrees which is much better than other heaters that can be only turned to high or low. The vornado also heats my room quickly. This heater really does stay cool to the touch which is a must for me because I have small children. It also has an automatic shut off if it gets tipped over. It is very quiet. This heater heats my room better and more evenly than a tall oscillating heater that I have which really only heats the air around the heater. I am very surprised how well this heater works. Even better is that it is made in the USA! Great!
Pros: Compact, Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Good looking design, Heats the Whole Room, Programmable, Quiet, Safe
Cons: A Little Pricey, Can Burn If Touched

Works really well at warming a room quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a very windy area of the northeast, so room heaters are often a necessity. I had never heard of Vornado before testing out this heater. I used the heater in my son's bedroom as well as the playroom. Both are larger rooms so I was skeptical that this little heater would heat the whole room, but it did. It worked really fast to quickly warm the room. I have used several heaters and often had to wait over 20 minutes before I felt any warmth in the room. I also felt good to have it around the children because it did not get hot. This is a definite plus with 2 small children. I didn't mind the noise of the fan, it was not too loud. My children didn't even notice the fan. I would recommend this heater to any mother who need a room heated and heated consistently. We have been using it daily for over a week with the same dependable results. I am going to be purchasing another Vornado for my son's bedroom so I don't have to keep moving the fan, although it is not an issue because it is light weight. Overall I am very happy with this heater and would recommend it. I did receive a sample to review but the ideas and opinions expressed are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tried out this heater in our kitchen and then our living room. We have been holding out to turn on the furnace until it gets below 40 at night. The house stays pretty warm throughout the day but since the time change it cools down earlier, around 6, so we used this to warm up our living room instead of turning on the furnace. This heater warms the air enough for our family to play games, read books, do homework, or watch movies without having to wear an extra layer.

Great space heater, and quiet too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vornado AVH10 Space Heater is compact, and is efficient at heating the immediate area. It has variable temperature control. It's very quiet, and seemed to work well in my small sized living room. The only drawback is that it only has two speeds, low and high. I would love to have more control over speeds, and perhaps a timer feature so it shuts off automatically after a period of time. In other space heaters I have used, there was the ability to adjust the tilt of the fan or an oscillating feature to blow the air around. This Vornado model does not seem to have the ability to adjust. You have to physically move the unit around to adjust the air flow direction. Overall, for such a small space heater it gets the job done, quietly and efficiently. I would recommend this product to my friends and family.

Cons: Can't tilt up or down or adjust blowing angle, No timer feature, Only has Low and High speeds

Bought this to replace another Vornado I had for years It finally got to noisy for TV room We keep our house at 68 in winter so I put this on 72 at nite when I watch TV Sunroom is 16 x 12 and it heats it up in no time Also very quiet Would recommend to anyone who wants to warm up a small room
