Sleek, portable heat you can use almost anywhere

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A solid, compact heater that heats quickly and cools down quickly when turned off. Easy to use! It's safe to use around kids and pets, which is a plus, Portable, making it easy to move it from room to room. It's lightweight and even has a built-in handle. A great small heater that warms the room you're in without having to turn the furnace up. I like the sleek design. The only thing I'd change is the length of the power cord. Since the unit should only be plugged into an outlet, and not use an extension cord, I could really use a little more length of the power cord.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater has impressed me. We placed it on a coffee table and the air circulated throughout the room. It is very quiet and immediately stopped when moved the slightest amount off balance. We could feel the warm air being circulated into the next room as we walked by our living room where tested.

I have had this for a couple weeks now and I'm in love with it. It functions so well and I love that I can set it to 68 degrees and it won't kick on in my Son's room until it senses its dropping below that. The cool to the touch feature and the tip over turn off/auto shut off if blocked put me at ease about it being in his room. It's also so lightweight that we love to bring it into the living room instead of using our fireplace or wall heater sometimes. Its a powerful little thing and heats the whole living room and kitchen. I might even buy a second one!

I’ve lost count of how many Vornado heaters we’ve had, given away, given as gifts, etc. We do not use our heat pump in Winter. Our house is small, and even during the last sub-zero cold spell three AVH10s keep the house toasty. My husband has health issues that leave him chilled if he’s not able to keep room temperature constant. Even our cat is happy with Vornado! We are very contented with Vornado heaters!

It's also good to put beside the couch in the living room. It's just that little bit of extra heat I need and is saving money by not running the furnace as much!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, a little background is in order. I live in New England, a place where it can go from 80 to 40 in a matter of a couple of days, even in November. That's exactly what it has done the first week since I received this heater. My first impression of the unit when I pulled it out of the box was that it was surprisingly light for how sturdy it felt. While it's almost entirely plastic on the outside, it still feels very well built and durable. It has a nice wide base to keep it in place if it happens to be on the floor and in kicking range, and the width and depth of it allows the body to remain at a good distance from the heating elements which means that the body never gets hots. This also means that instead of the body absorbing heat and then inefficiently radiating it out, it's blowing all that heat right out via the powerful and extremely quiet fan. This bring me to how effective this heater is. I've so far used it in three different parts of the house, and for three different roles. First I used it in the bedroom because the day it came it was 80 here, and stayed in the mid 60s and humid at night, so having a nice fan by my bed was very welcomed. It did a great job pulling the slightly cooler air form the open window behind it and blowing that at my bed to help make the night a little less miserable ( I hate sleeping in heat ). After the November New England heat wave passed, it came back down into the 50s and I moved the heater to the bathroom, where I used to heat up the tile floor in the morning and I found that within minutes it was nice and toasty, making all bathroom activities much more pleasant. I also had some work I needed to do in my basement, which is your traditional unfinished New England basement. It's cold, it's dark, and it's not a fun place to be in the winter. It's not a huge space, but it was by far the largest area in the house, and it could be felt even away from the immediate area. I couldn't be happier with this heater!

Blew my power

Honestly I love this product, it is quite pricey but it heats up a room so quickly and I like to sleep really warm during the new england winters, but there's a huge problem and hopefully someone can respond and help me with. So in the last 2.5 years that Ive owned it I have lived in 2 different apartments. Both being created in the 1950/60s. Both times when I used it it completely blew my power in the bedroom, it would literally let out smoke and my landlord would have to come over and fix the power. I really hope their is a solution to this because I love it , especially since I spend a lot of time in my room. Is it the product? Because I overuse it or use to for like 10 hours straight ? Or is it my old apartments. As fall's cold weather creeps up Im scared to use it again in my new apartment. I dont want my room to have no power and for the outlet to start smoking. HELP!?

Met my expectations

I really like this heater because it has met all my expectations. I purchased it to heat my bedroom. It heats the room very well and I'm.always comfortable. I definitely use the two settings: low and high. No need for the fan option yet. It's easy to use and to pick up. It's not quiet but I got use to the sound. Its similar to white noise for me.. I've had other infrared red heaters and vaporizers that were louder. I've noticed that the house thermostat usually matches the temperature on the heater. I also noticed that the auto climate changes to the set temperature. It's cool to touch and it will turn off if tipped. Sometimes the cord does get warm but never hot. I only wish that I had the model with a remote control. This heater works well but the challenge will be when my daughter starts walking.
Pros: Adjustable, Compact, Durable, Good Power Output, Stable Base
