Turns on but won't heat!

The unit turns on and off. Responds to touch with the control panel and remote control. However, outside of that it's just a paperweight. It will not heat up. The function outside of that. I don't know what to do because I don't have the box or sales slip anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not nearly as good as older models

I've used Vornado space heaters and fans for over 20 years, and have a few of them at work that are at least 10+ years old. This model, unfortunately, was a big disappointment.
The power button broke within the first year, collapsing into the unit (I was able to fish it out and use duct tape to keep it in place).
At only about 2 years old, today it simply stopped working entirely. No warnings, nothing. Just stopped.
On the upside, for the amount of time I've had it and it WAS running, it did heat the room nicely.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect Product

Using this in a small office space and it's perfect. Keeps temps regular. Ove purchased Vornado heaters and fans before and find them to be well made and reliable products

I bought my first unit one year ago and it works so well, I purchased another! The heater is quiet and does a great job of keeping the room warm.

I love the warranty, I use to to warm up instead of running the whole house heater. I have given several to brother over the last 10 years and Vornado has honored the warranty when two have stopped. My brother loves the heater and the way they warm the room.

LOVE OUR VORNADO HEATERS!

We currently own 4 of these exact heaters. Our home has central heat, but it also has high ceilings and during the colder days it has trouble keeping up. The floor can feel pretty cold! The Vornado heaters are wonderful because some magical way they spread the heat very gently around the room and make it nice and toasty. The AVH10 has the added feature of a thermostat and a low/high setting, which makes it convenient to keep the temperature consistent. It also has a fan setting that works well in summer months. Overall a worthwhile investment. Plus, Vornado stands behind there products and will replace it for free if it has a problem. They have done that for us in the past without question. Highly recommend Vornado!

I was very happy, but when I tried using it in a freezing cold mudroom it failed and won't reset. I didn't know it won't work in freezing temperatures. Why doesn't the manual say this?

This is a great space heater -- looks sharp, quiet, and provides the perfect warmth to the main room... but after a month, the power button dislodged itself from the unit. I finally was able to fish it out but it's impossible to put back in. Seems like an overlooked part of the wear and tear of a product. I certainly was not rough with it so I'm not sure why this button broke so quickly. A different button design would likely withstand the rigours of pushing on/off better. It still works but doesn't quite look as slick w/o its button. I would recommend a different unit w/ a different button design.
