The Best heater I have ever used!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater is Amazing! Quiet and Powerful I first used it on my sun porch when my other heater died. It's almost winter here, so all my other heater did was keep the chill of my porch. I put the Vortex heater on my porch and set it to 80 and within 30 minutes , it was a very warm 80 degrees on my porch. I love it , because now i can put my tropical plants back out there where they can get sun. Before with all the other heater i used it would never warm up enough keep them out there. The Awesome thing about the Vortex too, is that if my 3 year old happens to bump it and knock it over, it immediately shuts off, and even after running all day it is still safe to touch!!! I love how you can change it to the exact temperature that you want . This is definitely the best heater I have ever owned!
Pros: Energy Efficient, Good Power Output, Heats the Whole Room, Quiet, Safe

Great space heater for the office

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this for the office because it's always freezing. The small portable size makes it easy to fit and move around. I'm also fan of the 2 settings and being able to hide the cord which gives it a more professional/less cluttered look for the office. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it this winter!

I live in New England, a place where it can go from 80 to 40 in a matter of a couple of days, even in November. That's exactly what it has done the first week since I received this heater. My first impression of the unit when I pulled it out of the box was that it was surprisingly light for how sturdy it felt. While it's almost entirely plastic on the outside, it still feels very well built and durable. It has a nice wide base to keep it in place if it happens to be on the floor and in kicking range, and the width and depth of it allows the body to remain at a good distance from the heating elements which means that the body never gets hots. This also means that instead of the body absorbing heat and then inefficiently radiating it out, it's blowing all that heat right out via the powerful and extremely quiet fan. This bring me to how effective this heater is. I've so far used it in three different parts of the house, and for three different roles. First I used it in the bedroom because the day it came it was 80 here, and stayed in the mid 60s and humid at night, so having a nice fan by my bed was very welcomed. It did a great job pulling the slightly cooler air form the open window behind it and blowing that at my bed to help make the night a little less miserable ( I hate sleeping in heat ). After the November New England heat wave passed, it came back down into the 50s and I moved the heater to the bathroom, where I used to heat up the tile floor in the morning and I found that within minutes it was nice and toasty, making all bathroom activities much more pleasant. I also had some work I needed to do in my basement, which is your traditional unfinished New England basement. It's cold, it's dark, and it's not a fun place to be in the winter. It's not a huge space, but it was by far the largest area in the house, and it could be felt even away from the immediate area. I couldn't be happier with this heater!

Great portable home heater

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice little portable heater that is good for small rooms like the bathroom and bedroom. It puts out decent heat and is quiet to uses. It is lightweight and easy to move around the house. It comes in a nice color and design. It is economical. It does not use a lot of energy to use. It is good for warming small rooms and spaces up quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We tried out this heater in our kitchen and then our living room. We have been holding out to turn on the furnace until it gets below 40 at night. The house stays pretty warm throughout the day but since the time change it cools down earlier, around 6, so we used this to warm up our living room instead of turning on the furnace. This heater warms the air enough for our family to play games, read books, do homework, or watch movies without having to wear an extra layer.

Did the job for us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We felt this is a good heater as it did well heating up our living room, even with 18 ft. cathedral ceilings. A few features we would like to see are an option for a pedestal stand and for it to display room temperature as well as the set temperature. During initial start up, the screen blacks out after approximately 20 seconds of displaying the room and set target temperature. It would be nice if the heater constantly displays the current room temperature during operation so that we know when it has reached the set temperature. Instead, the screen is completely blank during operation. Also we'd like to have an option of increasing the fan speed manually in Fan mode only (without heat). The fan speed is too low even with the lowest temperature setting while in Fan mode. Overall we recommend this heater for other families with small kids. The auto shut off when the unit is tilted and the cool touch housing features are great with kids and pets. The unit also feels very well made.

Works really well at warming a room quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a very windy area of the northeast, so room heaters are often a necessity. I had never heard of Vornado before testing out this heater. I used the heater in my son's bedroom as well as the playroom. Both are larger rooms so I was skeptical that this little heater would heat the whole room, but it did. It worked really fast to quickly warm the room. I have used several heaters and often had to wait over 20 minutes before I felt any warmth in the room. I also felt good to have it around the children because it did not get hot. This is a definite plus with 2 small children. I didn't mind the noise of the fan, it was not too loud. My children didn't even notice the fan. I would recommend this heater to any mother who need a room heated and heated consistently. We have been using it daily for over a week with the same dependable results. I am going to be purchasing another Vornado for my son's bedroom so I don't have to keep moving the fan, although it is not an issue because it is light weight. Overall I am very happy with this heater and would recommend it. I did receive a sample to review but the ideas and opinions expressed are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater has impressed me. We placed it on a coffee table and the air circulated throughout the room. It is very quiet and immediately stopped when moved the slightest amount off balance. We could feel the warm air being circulated into the next room as we walked by our living room where tested.
