Very nice case, although the back isn’t rubber anymore like it once was. It’s plastic now, so more fragile back there and fingerprints show up very bad.

I ordered my new Case and Belt Clip for my new I-phone 17Pro Max on line. I have had the defender cases for all of my past 5 or 6 I-phones. I was disappointed that there were only a few colors to choose from. So, I couldn’t get my usual camo color case. But one thing I’m worried most about is how the case clips into the belt clip. It doesn’t have a firm click when you snap your phone into place. And doesn’t have a lot of resistance for it not to fall out. I’m worried about loosing my phone. Everything else if fine and it came on the same delivery truck as my phone. So I didn’t have to use it naked.

I expected more from an OtterBox case, especially given the brand’s reputation and price point. Unfortunately, the back of the case scratched very easily with normal, everyday use. Even more frustrating, the two pieces that are supposed to clip together don’t connect very securely. They commonly separate, which makes the case feel unreliable and poorly designed. Overall, it doesn’t provide the solid, dependable protection I was expecting.

This case has a design flaw that traps dust, causing scratches on my phone. I am disappointed to learn that Lifeproof cases are no longer available, so I have resorted to this alternative, which has proven to be the worst case ever. I strongly urge the manufacturer to restore Lifeproof cases.

I've had an Otterbox for over 7 years but ever since the 16 Pro Max case came out with the cutout for the action button, they completely damaged the case, leaving that area unprotected. When I bought the 17 Pro Max and saw that there was a physical action button, I thought it was the end, without thinking twice. I bought it before the iPhone 17 Pro Max came out but when I had the phone in my hand and put it on, I saw that every time I picked it up, the action camera button was activated, which was not normal. That has a problem and OtterBox has to fix it, which I hate terribly, which is why I returned it.
