From the second I saw this one I knew I had to pick it up. I’m a bit young to really have the idea hold much nostalgia for me, but as a fan of Lego and a fan of the sets that have more technical function to them this set definitely peaked my interest. The finished product is super clean and this genuinely feels like one of the sets that Lego actually made sure was perfect before releasing it. There was ONE point in the build process that I was weary of if it was going to be a mechanical issue or not, but it ended up being the part of the mechanism that requires a ‘coin’ in order to turn and push out one of the little mini figures. Two cons for me personally with this set but they aren’t deal breakers. 1. I do wish that you were able to have the minifigures fully assembled in the little ball capsules as opposed to having to have them all in pieces 2. The minifigures it comes with don’t really do anything for me, however, I understand Lego was between a rock and a hard place as they wanted something to fill the little balls with but ultimately if an adult purchased this set the minifigs are just going to stay in the little balls inside the machine on display (so are the actual minifigures really that important or the focus of this set? Not really)

Worst build ever for me

You must build this on a hard level surface at the beginning or else it won't work. Too many frivols builds in the middle for no reason. It's cute when its's done but a challenge to build with not much payoff.

I’m only up to bag 6 but have come across 2 missing pieces from the set. In all of the years I’ve built Lego, I’ve never come across an incomplete set. Now here I am with not 1 but 2 missing pieces. Extremely disappointing.

Very disappointed

My daughter saved up so much money to buy this build just to put it together and not work.
We had to make adjustments along the way to keep the vending machine working but by the last bag it was locked up so badly that when you turned the knob the whole thing fell apart. I am very disappointed and hope lego can do something to make up for it

I would not recommend buying this set until they work out the kinks. Our set was missing multiple pieces which made the build incredibly frustrating and disappointing for our kids.
