The building experience is fantastic. Every step produces a new "wow" and the overall aesthetics is spot on to my childhood memories of putting a coin into the slot to get a prize. These are still in use today in all types of settings. I really like the ability to add to the set and change the minifigs.

When such joy could surround the gum ball machine. What a childhood memory I have of them. This was such a joy to build. From the mechanics of the working parts inside to the treasures that came out. Top notch.

I was skeptical mid-way through the process. The initial dispensing mechanism made sense with the balls rolling easily through the internal slide. However, the turning mechanism seemed to get stuck on a silly flap; I questioned its addition. However, I trusted the process and the Ideas designer; I have to admit that the turning mechanism worked very well by the time I completed the set.
The entire set was well designed - no missing parts.
My only (mild) criticism is that I would have preferred 12 different minifigures.

My 9 year old son loved putting this set together and finished it unassisted in less than a few days. He was so exciting he could not stop building. He really enjoys the mini figure machine mechanism and has loved putting each mini figure together as they come out of the dispenser. Great classic set! Much cooler than a gumball machine. He is looking forward to another Lego set to assemble.

This set is very appealing! It’s visually pleasant as well as fully functional! I really enjoyed this build and the uniqueness of the design. The fact that it’s fully functioning is the icing on the cake! This will be a great display piece for my classroom. My students will love it!
