A good value for a helpful interview style gathering of the data. I especially like the importing of previous data that stays the same every year. And, the importing of Fidelity investment data for the new year saves hours of entry by hand.

I used TurboTax for 15 years. Turbo just made the software impossible to use without hiring their prepairers which I don't need. I switched to H&R and am glad I did.

I'm not sure yet. I did taxes for a very senior friend and the part about pensions belonging to her or the deceased is not clear. Also, I noticed veterans now have to claim non taxable pensions.
