Overall the personal worked great, I haven’t been able to use the business software, I had a ticket opened and there was a software error and they were supposed to send me a new version of the software when updated. I was unable to file my year end payroll reports with the software which was the whole reason I purchased that version of software .
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

* It imported my last year's info from the H&R Block file.
* It helped me complete and check our personal and business taxes.
* I mostly trust it did so correctly.
* It made some use of comparing this year to last.

The bad:
* As often the case with H&R Block in the past, there are several places where the instructions and/or explanations are insufficient, unclear or incomplete, to understand how to fill out certain fields.
* Business expenses, health insurance, tax credits, warnings, summaries, planning for next year, and interaction between Federal and State sections could all do with improvements for clarity.
* As often the case with H&R Block in the past, there are several warnings that are not adequately explained, and/or that do not go away even when I do what it says to do about them.
* While in past years, despite the listed requirement for Windows 10, it was possible to install and run H&R Block software on earlier versions of Windows. This year, it started actually not running on my preferred Windows version (Windows 7), so I ran it on Linux.

For business filings what forms to be used has to be selected by the user, you should not call yourself a tax expert & except for 4 or 5 states, there is no efiling for business.

I come back because its easier to use what I used the year before.
But there are always problems. I help my family run their taxes, and there were three this year that had to file paper, or refile on paper due to program issues. I use the business program too and it is the most confusing, most inconsistent, most broken in entry process, that gives me a heart attack every year, and never efiles, and I always have to print to file. does not make me feel confident at all.

I have use H&R Block tax business software for many years. This year I was working on Trusts and found your program difficult to navigate and when I wanted to talk to someone, your automated system never got me to a real person. I doubt I will use H&R in the Future.
