I need this product because, in addition to my own personal taxes, I am trustee of a trust, and must file a 1041 (and CA 541), which is only included in the "Business" product.. have been using HR Block for many years; at least 10. Before that, I used TurboTax. The latter provides MUCH MUCH better support along the way; it is (was?) a far superior product. However, it costs much more, especially the Trust part ("Business"). The 1041 / 541 support is negligible, but at least it allows you to fill it out electronically. You still have to print it out and mail it; the gov't still doesn't accept electronic versions of 1041s or 541s. The big problem with the H&R Block software, especially the 1041, is that the software will calculate a number for some derived line, but won't tell you how; you can right click and select "Jump to Related" but it goes nowhere. This is entirely inadequate and unacceptable.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had preordered the personal version and then needed to add business. In order to obtain business version I had to uninstall the personal version I had already bought and installed (and began working in). Then once I attempted to complete business forms kept receiving a fatal raven dbase error. Bottom line. I had to buy a competitor business tax software as yours does not work w windows 11 version I have. I ended up buying the original personal premium, then bought it again in a bundle w business that never worked and finally a business from a competitor. 300+ for tax software. I will only buy the personal going forward since the business no longer works on my laptop. (To include the previous year version that did work and now gets same raven dbase error)!
