Major issues with Form 1041 for Estates and Trusts

I bought this program to file a 1041 Fiduciary Tax Return for my parent's estate and trust and I'm sorry to say that I was unable to use it because there are lots of errors in the program and very little support in terms of how to answer questions. I selected the interview format but in most cases it just presents you with the form with no clarification of how to answer. I'm pretty savvy and no stranger to tax returns but in the end, the program would not let me efile because of errors in the program. Subsequently, I purchased Tax Act for Estates and Trusts and it was a very simple format with no issues, and I was able to efile through them. H & R Block says satisfaction guaranteed but on my receipt it says no refunds. I'm going to try but I'm not hopeful and so I pretty much wasted my money. I only gave it 3 stars because most people never see the one star reviews and I wanted to try and save someone from what just happened to me. Good luck.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Simple To Use - Big Refund !

Health premiums a little confusing ... had an input box for Self Employement premiums and another in a different area for health care premiums. Am on Medicare, Self Employed, with supplemental health care plan. Other than that it was like speaking with a real person .. very user friendly.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

I was happy to be able to do both my partnership return and my LLC along with my personal return in one package.

I went to file my return electronically. I entered in my bank information, hit enter and got an announcement that I needed to update the program. So, I said okay. I had to re-enter the bank information, and did that. Hit enter, and the Feds accepted my return. I then printed a copy and found that two of my schedule D's had been entered twice. The program showed those entries with red '!' next to them. The program had submitted my return when IT said that items still needed to be reviewed.
I will now have to do a schedule 1040X to correct the return. I will also have to file the equivalent state form.

HR Block has always be the number one tax product for me. I have used it for years and it is still the BEST!! Tried another product, but it was horrible.... a waste of money!!
