I have used H&R Tax software for several years. I have recommended it to others. It is easy to follow and covers all my needs

More straightforward than TurboTax

My TurboTax requires a system upgrade that won't run on my Mac. So I switched and am glad I did. Easy to load and run and generally good answers to questions.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy Self Tax Program

I use this tax program every year and the saving of data year to year is really an asset. It remembers what you did including any capital gains information.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Had trouble with software

I've used H&R Block software for my taxes for the last 10 or 12 years and have had no issues, but this year I seemed to have difficulty with the software. First, i had problems upgrading to the Premium and got charged twice before it was straightened out and then there was some glitch in getting the Federal and State e-filed. I'm not certain it wasn't my fault, but I usually don't make that kind of mistake. I think it's correct now, but I'll watch to make sure I haven't been double charged for the state e-filing fee.
Pros: Easy to prepare
