Gets Better Every Year

I have been pleased for many years to use the tax software provided by H&R Block. The previous year's return transfers easily into the new tax year, and that keeps me from missing items from one year to the next. It also keeps up with things like depreciation year over year. The questions are a great guide to help ferret out items that might otherwise be missed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

BETTER THIS YEAR

This year filing with the software was better than last year. Less bugs and errors. However you need to be careful as some forms do not remove, unless you manually remove them. This can be the difference of errors on analysis, forcing you to paper file.

There is a discrepancy in your Social Security reporting. Worksheet for Social Security says we should pay taxes on $19,209. On 1040 Form Line 5 b you listed $22,946. How could the numbers be different ?

Easy and Straightforward

I have been using this program for 10+ years. I love the way I can import my previous years data. Simple guidelines and e-file very easy. Highly recommend!

Imports previous years

I have used H&R Block tax software for several years. This year was much more complicated than previous years and the program did not seem to lead me through questions that I felt assured would properly populate the form, especially when I got to the State form (MN). Last year was also somewhat more complicated than previous years, but this year (for 2018) was unpleasant enough that I will likely go to an accountant next year.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had a more confusing guide and hence repeat all time as it was selling more for more money

Bought this online in February, was on special price, after all updates which is expected everything worked perfect, hardest part was arraigning everything to enter
