Business section was easy.

The personal return was difficult to follow. too many hidden places to check for errors. Took me way to long to finish.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

A great improvement

I have been using H&R for 6 to 7 years and this is best product on the market that really asks all the questions and guides you through the interviews. The process is the very simple. I have personal and business requirements and it was a great success in completing all forms using the H&R Block software. I recommend to all my friends and business friends.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Worst software ever

Bought the business edition in january for my S corp; it was completely unusable. There were forms missing, the program interviews didn't work, forcing you to manually enter data into the forms... until you couldn't anymore - some forms required data entry through the interview process which didn't exist. I have used Taxact in the past, had to go and buy Taxact again to complete my taxes.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

why can't I copy text in window

The software is OK; not much better than it was in the past. My pet peeve is that I can't copy an screen text. So when my efile notice came thru with a 20-digit Submission ID number, I couldn't copy it. So primative.
Pros: Easy to import documents

COMPLICATED, LACKS GUIDANCE

I preparer the Taxes myself with this software for the first time. There were a lot of questions I could not find the answers for. (in a fast and optimal fashion) Logging to get assistance is impossible, the logging keeps signing me up for my former HR Block account. and I am prompted to call the office or set up an appointment. I am willing to participate in a control group to detect and correct ALL the navigation errors in your program. You need a program that is EASY to follow along. a chat button would come in handy. (and yes you can charge for it) but offer it. when people buy your program they are looking for an easy way to file taxes. not to feel overwhelmed by the complexities of this task.

Very easy to use. Excellent help for all items. Handles all types of personal, business scenarios. Imports for 1099s make it fast. The "built in" data quality audits always make sure your data entries make sense, are valid and consistent across forms automatically. The interview pages also show the form data they automatically enter for you as you go through the interview. Great choice

Best software I have used in thirty five years.

I have six years experience working for H&R Block Offices in the last thiry years. Three when they first computerized and three before this year. I found this years software to be easier than Blockworks, the company software. I was able to follow what I was doing quickly and find errors. I recommend this software over the HR Block Online because you can check your work as you go along the interview.

2018 Product was BAD

I have used H&R Block for over 10 years. This year it was one thing after another going wrong. HORRIBLE experience--wouldn't load, crashed my new computer multiple times, State forms wouldn't load, and so on. Don't know what happened but will not use H&R Block again. There are lots of other products out there.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
