I have used for years only real complaint is the cost of each additional state. Each one cost nearly as much as total software package.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Okay - once you start with it, you are kinda stuck

Overall okay - best feature is that it transfers year to year data, so I don't forget things that carryover.
However, I couldn't e-file cause there was an error in the software and had to wait until early April to get an update to fix. Also, the state interviews are not very good. For both personal, but pretty bad for business.

I am writing to express my frustration with the Premium software regarding an issue I encountered while preparing my tax return.
Specifically, the non-passive amount reported on my K-1 did not properly transfer to Schedule E as expected. I had to manually add this line myself, which raises serious concerns about the accuracy and reliability of the software. This is not a minor inconvenience—errors like this could easily lead to incorrect filings if not caught.
Given that this is a premium product, I expected a much higher level of automation and accuracy, especially when handling complex items like K-1 income and non-passive activity classifications. Having to manually intervene defeats the purpose of using tax software and undermines confidence in the final return plus could never get through the audit to file once and had to MAIL it in.

My suggestions to improve the software, always purhase he premium, home and business etc, have never been addressed. There have been o improvements in the functionality for over 20 years. The software addresses the needs of the majority of its users, but neglects the 'hyeper users'
