No software package is perfect. I've been using this software for over 15 years. There are verbiages I don't agree with and this made specific fields and categories difficult at times. However, the use of Claude in conjunction with the software made it manageable. I'm a business owner and investor with a complex return.
Past versions have been buggy to the point where I had to paper file, but this was the best and most stable version yet. Three stars becuase it's wildly disappointing that the business version does not have a Mac version. Had to remote desktop to my PC from my mac to use it.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare

This is not a very intuitive program. It also did not transfer all of my information from my 2024 Turbo Tax return, and it was difficult to ascertain where the missing information needed to be entered. There are no links in the software as to where dependent information is derived, nor all of the places where entered information will be entered into the return. Furthermore, I was never able to e-file my business return.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall good lacking some 1099 import capabilities

Overall the product is good. The capability to download a Wells Fargo 1099 doesn't exist in the desktop version. This capability exists in the paid subscription but not the desktop. I asked for it for the last couple of years to be enhanced but to no avail. For a PREMIUM software this capability should be included.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Been using the product for years. This year Business 2025 does not work on my Mac running Parallels. It has worked for years. The high end version of the product is the only one that will not work on a Mac, which makes absolutely no sense. I won't be using it again next year.

Thing went fairly smooth until the end at review time. I had only 2 problems and could not correct the entry. No matter what I did. The pin # was also a frustration. The directions tucked. I uses Turbo Tax for the last 13 years but had to change because of the windows version issues.
