I have a business so my situation is more complicated than single filers. Over the last few decades, this program seems to be more and more difficult to use. Not sure if it is the changing tax code but i feel like I need a CPA degree to navigate the interviews and understand what is being asked of me. The last two years have, by far, been my most stressful in using this software.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had always used an accountant for our tax work. As fees increased I turned to H&R Block software. I am so glad that I did. I have been using H&R Block software for three years now and it has not only saved me a lot of money in tax prep costs but it has given me a much better understanding of taxes in general. It has allowed me to plan and strategize for the year. I am able to maximize our tax deductions, which has saved me way more than the cost of the software.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents

Good tool, but "Excess Accumulations" needshelp

Great tool for home and business. Have used H&RB for many years. This year's seemed especially good.
Please do, though, work on the section about "Excess Accumulations" - it's confusing, not logical, and needs some improvement.

I cannot believe that a program that I used for 10 years turned into a tax nightmare. Yes, I am completely computer literate, but I have no idea what you did to the program to turn it into what it is now. If it's not broken don't fix it!

I’ve been using the premium personal and small business product for years with no issues, I used the personal product this year with no issue. I paid extra for the business software because I had an S Corp to file and it never worked, no one was able to get it functioning before the tax deadline and I had to pay for a second software from a different company to produce my K1. It was very frustrating and I won’t be using the business product again, I’d like a refund for it, it turned out to be a waste of money.
