Several problems

I have used H&R for 20 years. I have had problems with the program in the past, but more this year. Couldn't import Merrill Lynch financial information. Big problem for me.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Lousy program

I use this program every year only because it contains the 1120S form but….every year it adds electronic filing forms even when I don’t want it. Then I have to figure out how to strip out all of those forms so I can file on paper.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3 Federal Rejections in a row ??? Seriously???

Your software UTTERLY FAILED to prevent two rather sizeable errors from getting through to an actual e-filing, I am NOT HAPPY !!! One, you failed to compare the SSN for my wife's W2 to last years data. That was Federal rejection number 1. Then, you failed to ask enough questions about existing healthcare coverage, so despite our having coverage all year long, you failed to ask about the nature of it, and thus Federal rejections two and three,.. This is bad news big time. If I find out you charged me any more than once for my state return, I will ream you folks a brand new one... Verbally, anyway...

Import functions have taken a step back from previous years. Merrill isn't suppoed at all. If direct import is not possible then importing from a file (pdf, csv, etc.) should be an option.
Importing ESPP share sales could have better support as well. The pdf from Fidelity has all of the info needed but it only pulls in the numbers reported to the IRS and not the correct cost basis info in a later section.
