The normal program for personal taxes we ok. The Business software switched platforms so I was not able to complete the partnership taxes on my normal machine. In fact I had to rekey my prior years data as I was not able to move 2024 data to the new computer nor export a simple file and re-import it.

Business would crash constantly. Got a second version and it also crashed. Spent hours on phone with c/s but nothing helped. Finally had to revert to paper forms.

Simple return few entries would have been another quicker easier form entry not allowed. The K-1 business produced the personal wouldn't accept. State business was almost impossible to find. 4-5 phone calls . First page directs you to state website while forms are there not the ones to fill out .Had to delete forms or amend to incorrect to get it to transmit.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Personal software is wonderful and I have used it for years. Business side is very difficult and I had a very hard time with crashes and lockups. My partnership is not difficult but trying to figure out where to put things was very difficult. Some of the help files referred to IRS documents which did not tell me where things went in the software. The people that wrote the Personal stuff should look at the business stuff and make it work the same.

Cons: Time consuming

The Personal Tax SW works great. Like last year, the Small Business software is not great. The Small Business software is very clunky and not very user friendly.

I purchased the premium + business + state program on March 1st and continued to have problems downloading and trying to update the program. It would not connect to your server. On the 15th of March I called for help after trying all the other options to no avail. I spent 2 hours on the phone, and nothing worked. The program still would not update or connect. On the 16th, I tried again, this time with a different person. After 2.5 hours, she told my there was nothing she could do and she would have someone who knew more than her "call me back" in a day or two. I waited. They never called. Finally on the 19th, I called again and got hold of someone who knew what she was doing. She had to uninstall the program and reinstall it for it to work. I think I should be reimbursed to compensate me for all the aggravation and days of stress I went through before I could use what I paid for.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
