Downloaded last years return. It did not pick up prior depreciation. Entering depreciation was a nightmare. I finally tried A-I . It would tell me that is not a tax question try again... Went through Chat and I really needed to talk to a live person on the phone. The chat person finally told me to ask A-I my questions. Can you see my problem here? I worked in the Block Advisor office the last 21 years and just retired. I still know what I needed to do to fill out a correct tax return. I was trying to stay loyal to the Block company and use the software. Sorry I did.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

This is my 6th year using H&R Block tax software. Each year they improve, hopefully listening to client suggestions. This year I found only a couple of minor things to improve like correcting (catching) some review items while answering simple (yes/no) interview questions instead of responding to Review corrections..
Pros: Maximizes refund

For 3 state years I've had a hard time installing the business product. This year no one ever came back to me to follow up on my open ticket. I finally called someone who suggested a fix and it worked. But for six weeks no one responded at all
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Program itself wasn't bad, though not nearly as good as the individual programs. Everything I saw about the program led me to believe I should be able to file my mom's trust/estate forms electronically. Even after I called the support desk and waited for an hour, I was told that I should be able to file electronically. After getting disconnected twice from the support line, I gave up and mailed the return into the IRS

Sections on declaring Retirement Income confusing Traditional IRA vs RMD verbiage very unclear also SCorp K1 and QBI credits The section in most need of Redo especially Line 17 “Whole assistance needs to be redone” poorly presented This is a “Major” credit Overlooked Not Premium Business worthy😗
