The S-corp software didn't have enough info to make it easy to understand where numbers were coming & going. It seems like I had to know secret buttons or procedures because the interview didn't take me assuredly step-by-step the same way that the personal H&R block interview takes me step-by-step. It seemed like I needed to have more info that I had to research outside of the software.
Cons: Hard to prepare

Very Disappointing that the Program didn't support Form 1040 and it has done in previous years. Now you have to buy two programs. Total ripoff in my opinion.

Fed & State - HR Block ain't what it used to be

I paid extra for the Small Business Owners software, then found out that one person LLCs are treated like ordinary income (but you still get to claim expenses). I also got the Tennessee State software for the Hall Income tax, and it calculated that I owed almost $100. However, this year I qualify for an exemption due to my age and total income, but H&R Block software had nothing on exemptions. I had to contact the state people to find out. Finally, Tennessee has a 10-digit ID number for filers, but the Block software only allowed 9 digits to be entered.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
