I bought the Premium edition because I had to file income tax returns for trusts. I found using the software so confusing that I gave up and did it on paper. The software did work for my personal return but I didn't need the Premium edition to do that.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awkward program. But the worst is that you have to pay for State taxes, and then the State doesn't even accept the high cost software. Kinda makes the software worthless.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
