It is very frustrating to try and try to e-file and be unable to because the program "needs to be updated" yet never gets updated. I was able to e-file after I took the program to another computer. Why is this so hard.

Premium & Business Does Not Work on Macbook

I have been a consistent annual user of the Premium & Business tax preparation software for years and unfortunately this is the first year I have had problems. I'm running it on an Apple Macbook with Parallels VM software, installed on Windows 11 Pro. Apparently there is a major issue with the current edition tax prep business software not being able to run on this set-up, first time that I've ever had the issue. The personal tax prep module works completely fine and without issue. I need the business software to prepare one (1) form 1041 trust return and it looks like I'm going to have to look elsewhere not only for this tax year 2025 but for subsequent years. Unfortunate...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software is relatively easy to use. Step by step instructions are straightforward. Biggest issues are that the company file can only be saved to a hard drive, not the cloud and occasionally, the program requires you to open it from the program86 file instead of the desktop. But the actual program is great to use.
