Financial assessment and understanding is reinforced and developed when one does their own taxes. H & R Block Premium software allows you to make a perfect return every year. It remembers data that allows next years start easy and efficient.

For whatever reason, the 2020 Business software was not compatible with a recent Windows 10 update. As a result, we were unable to import data from our 2019 returns and were even locked out of our 2018 returns. In addition, the PDF files we had saved from 2019 were not recognized by the 2020 Business software and could not be imported. When we called customer support, we were placed on hold for over an hour. When we were able to finally talk to a customer support rep, she was aware of the problem and gave us a website that addressed the issue and a list of actions to take to attempt to release the files. However, when we attempted to access one of the critical files necessary to fix the issue, it was not available or accessible. As a result, we basically had to start our business returns from scratch which included manually loading 107 W2s, three different 1065s, three different 941s, and 3 940s. Reconstructing years of depreciation calculations was brutal and time consuming as well as the time wasted manually loading data that should have been automatically accessed and calculated. Absolutely the worst tax preparation effort we have experienced using H&R Block in the last 20 years.
On a positive note, the home portion of the software worked like a champ.

Easy program. I've been using HR Software since 1993 when it was called TaxCut. Great for personal, small businesses and rental properties too. Once you input your data for the first time, you are done. Makes your future filings a breeze.

I would not recommend the business portion of this software if you are planning on using it to file taxes for a trust. It is woefully inadequate for that job. The regular software for filing 1040 taxes is very good for most options, but anything out of the ordinary be forewarned you will have to figure it out for yourself.

I have used H&R Block software for many years and it has become the workhorse of our Tax Reporting and Returns. We do our Personal Federal Returns and State Returns as well. We also do our Business Tax Returns and without H&R Block we would not be able to do the returns ourselves. We would have to turn the whole thing over to an accountant and pay much much more
