Very difficult

I'm retired on a disability from a police agency it is very difficult to get my full exemption on the federal and state taxes with this software.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Same bugs every year

Every year there are pages that won’t print and no place to notify about bugs
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

All the changes, not a problem. Had a e-file problem and technical assistance stuck with it for 90 minutes and we got it fixed.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Problems when update and updates are very late

Every time before updating, I have to restart the computer. Otherwise after the updates are downloaded and Continue button is clicked, it would come back to the start page of update. Updates are very late. I still cannot file California today 2/7 because it says CA Schedule CA (540) not available though other software is ok for long time.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used H&R Block income tax software for over 15 years - it's very simple to use, with clear and concise instructions. Previous year's data autopopulates, and this year, importing PDF files makes doing taxes a breeze!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

We use this program to do our own personal and business taxes. It offers explanations to ever line of entry. Our only issue is. Some of the explanations are extremely vague. And while there is a help section. It doesn't do much better giving better guidance.
Thus why 4 stars and not 5.
Botton line, take your time. Don't want to make the wrong decision and pay for it at the end.
