All and all, ended up being kind of expensive. I liked the personal software. It was easy to use, navigate and e file, although you had to pay for state. The business software was useless, for me, anyway. It did not have a way to e file federal and it wouldn't do the taxes at all for a partnership in Oklahoma. Worthless. All that time spent doing my business, to come to an end, for naught. Wasted my money on the business program.
The personal module is fine, but the business module does NOT work. It would not save my 2021 file, instead named the file to 2020, then would not open again after I entered all my data. All my 2021 data was deleted from the forms. I kept updating the program but this major bug was never fixed. I will not purchase again.
Very easy to use. The program will guide you step by step and raise questions if your answers are vague. I used H&R Premium for the first time and I had trouble importing data on 1099 Forms ( retirement account money) and I hope the software will remember next year. I recommend it for any one. I was using Turbo Tax before and there are two things I didn't like: 1. it has become pricy, 2. As you progress entering the data, you are asked to upgrade to the next level and Turbo Tax will charge you the full price! It's not fair business practice!
Unless you do taxes for a living, very hard to use. Basically, you need to know what form you need and the software just presents it with blanks, doesn't really do much interviewing or guidance.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
