Not a useful program for complex multi state trusts. Had to buy the competition’s program to complete my taxes. Bottom line, it was a waste of not just money but time as well.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

HRBlock tax software makes it very easy to prepare my tax returns. And it's very reasonably priced compared to other software as well as compared to taking my tax info to an accountant to prepare.

The state software has no interview. You go through the forms and hope you fill in the necessary items. The “review “ for the most part worked for both state snd federal But it did produce some items that I couldn’t resolve. Bottom line is that I got the paperwork filled on time and as correct as I know how But the software seemed lacking.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I have used HRB SW for 15 years. The personal tax stuff is pretty good except this year they cannot seem to get the efile to work right even after two sw fixes. This is my first year using the bus tax SW. I expected it to be as easy as the personal, but it is not. The interview process is basically, open the form and fill out the blanks. Really less than helpful and I gave up trying to efile the return as the SW was just not ready in Feb and just mailed it in.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

Disappointed first time in 20 years. Federal and state return were not accepted by electronic transfer and had to send in. Did taxes 4 times and dumped files and re loaded program again before got the same refund amount result.
