I have used the Tax Cut software, now sold as H&R Block, for as many years as the software has been out. Three years I purchased and tried to use Turbo Tax, but always purchased H&R Block after trying Turbo Tax to actually use for the taxes submitted.
Business program not as easy to navigate as premium. Many fields won't let you enter data without overriding. If you jump to related same issue. Had to figure out by trial and error which check boxes needed to be checked to eventually add the data.
Walks you through step by step w/ advice available at every one. I had just gone for the standard home office deduction but found out that as a new homeowner I could use actual expenses and get a bigger one.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I for the most part, like this product. Where my gripe stands is every other version of H&R Block has a comparable Mac version, that is of course EXCEPT this 1 single solitary product.
So in order to use this, I pay for Parallels and Windows so I can use this PC only product. Highly, highly frustrating but I'm left with no other choice.
