be careful with this

there is a problem with this software at least with the Michigan version the issue is any the estimated state payments are entered into the federal version and are transfered over. Problem is if you take the standard deduction rather than itemizing this is not entered. A better way would be direct entery in the state return. This almost cost me a thousnd dollars if the state had not caught it and amended my return for me. Perhaps I missed something but this is still problematic.

I upgraded to Premium & Business this year since I launched my business this past fall. It was very helpful in finding business deductions (largest refund ever) and was very helpful when I completed my parent's taxes who moved to another state in 2022 after selling their home of 40 years.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents

The Premium and Business software is just okay. My personal 1040 return was fine, but I was disappointed with the interview in my completion of the 1041 forms for my Trust. Ended up having to do a lot of research on my own to complete this return.
Cons: Time consuming
