Excellent Tax Software

My return was rejected because the IRS sent a PIN to me, and I am sure millions of others. The PIN is 6 digits long, but the box for it in your filing section accepts only 5 digits. I put a previous PIN in the first time, because I'd forgotten that they sent a PIN.
When I went back in to correct it, only 5 of the 6 numbers from the IRS sent PIN goes in the box on your form.

Premium good but Business Lacking

The premium software is great for individual returns. The business software is lacking a professional interface which requires a user to populate the actual forms. Unfortunately, it has been like this for years. Luckily, I only need it for trust returns.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have done my own taxes for 20 plus years. This was very difficult. Didnt even populate my AGI from 2022.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

THE BEST TAX SOFTWARE!

I have been a faithful HR Block software user since the first year it was available. I have used other brands when helping friends, but personally have no good feelings about them...The software is easy to use and is dependable.

I've been an H&R Block Income Tax software customer for over a decade. With rental properties and a small business, my taxes could be daunting - but not with H&R Block! The program provides a simple, straightforward guided tutorial each step of the way. I love it how the software maintains all of my information from previous years, and automatically imports it into the current year.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have the business and home "Premium and Business".
The Home product works very well and is very intuitive. The interview doesn't ask you for your IRS Provided PIN, so I learned the hard way to make sure I add that myself before sending my state and federal returns.
The Business package works, but it's not as intuitive as the Home product.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hard to get started.

First tried the online version, it was not able to do depreciation, although advertised as able to. This program is actually two programs, but one would not update, so I opened the other program. Not too bad from there on. Thought this long-standing problem would have been fixed by now. Although I uploaded last years return, it still asked me many questions over again. It just seemed like no one ever proof-tested how it works.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
