Problems. (1) not easy to print estimated tax forms for those who do their own calculations and mail in those forms to the state. (2) can't manually select NYS state standard deduction when itemized deduction exceeds standard. I take the standard for fed and state and use the data gathering process to track expenses I may not be able to deduct as I did in the past. On the fed form you have the option to choose how you want to do it...

This is about the 6th year I used H&R for my 990-EZ. It covers lots of territory, but once you are aware of what the forms need, it works fine.
Does help if you have all the income/expense figures and a trial balance worked out before you start.

I purchased the package that allow forms view o know how to work the forms but wanted to file electronic. Overall a great package for this purpose. I have no solid feeling for using the package and just answering the prompts.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
