The software works but it isn't the easiest to use. It does ask questions but sometimes it doesn't explain what you are really doing. It is almost as if it is enough to be dangerous if you don't have at least a little knowledge. Not sure if I would recommend it for someone that has never done their taxes before. It would also be nice if this version would work on a MAC and not just Windows, as all the other versions do.
Pros: Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great for personal taxes, not so great for a trust

I have done my personal taxes using H&R software for 20 years. It’s great. When a parent passed away, I upgraded to the Business version to do the taxes for my parent’s trust. The software works on an old version of Windows, so I have to keep an old computer available specifically for the trust taxes. There are always a couple forms I have to fill out manually. And the help features are lacking. This is a program meant to empower home users to do taxes, but I don’t feel empowered by it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm experienced tax preparer and have been back and forth between TurboTax and H&R Block, sometimes both in the same year because of frustrations. This year H&R Block Business and Premium both worked really well for me. Some of the fixes the software recommended in review before I could file, were irrelevant and frustrating to even find.
