Poor Experience with software, no Efile for State

Kills the purpose of the software savings if you have to do manual work by mailing and printing for State returns. Would rather save time and go back to TaxAct instead for full Online experience and eFiling for both Federal and State.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Personal and business returns are two separate packages with different user interfaces. Business has limited interviews and some bugs that you have to work around. Business data is stored in a database that can be corrupted but support has a “fix” program. Program is definitely designed for tax professionals. However, it’s still better than other programs I’ve tried. Three stars, at most.
Personal side is much better and typical consumer quality. I give it 5 stars.

Generally good, but could use some fine-tuning.

Used another product for years, and H & R for the last couple years. The interview process, forms, etc. are all similar. One pet-peeve with H & R is when you do the final 'error checking', each time you visit an error or issue, you have to wait for it to re-compile the error-checking all over again each time... takes a couple minutes each time. And even if you choose to disregard or over-ride a particular 'error', it remains in the list; no way to clear it and move it. That part of the program is kind of clunky.
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just filing 2023 taxes before October deadline and suffered not only from my on procrastination but from the horrible 2023 HRB software. It was not intuitive, difficult to get correspond the HRB questions to the actual IRS form entry, the print function printed tombs of paper when only screen view was needed, could not easily review IRS form and /click/return directly to questionnaire. For 10 years I have been a loyal user but going to change it up next year.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I finish my taxes the day before they were due at 11pm. Then I get the message from hrblock that they cannot efile my state return after misleading me to believe they could. Post office was closed so it was too late to mail. The same thing happened with my business taxes. I had to use taxact instead to efile. I will never use hrblock again. Lesson learned.
