Better user control for sole proprietor business

I prefer H&R Block tax software because it's easy to see what your answers to the interview questions translate to on the actual tax forms. This enables more accurate returns, especially for non-standard situations that can come up with a sole proprietorship business reported on Schedule C. The questions are also more fine-grained, which gives you more control with fewer assumptions being made by the software. The downside, of course, is that you do need to know a little more about tax law and the software isn't as easy to use as others. That's worth it to me. I refer to "JK Lasser's Income Tax" when I need to look something up, but the HRB software makes it easy to ask questions online as well. As for prep time, I got through my complicated home + business tax prep in a day, and online filing was easy and fast.
Pros: Easy to import documents

From what I can see the software is not as user friendly as I would have liked. The business side doesn't ask as many questions as it could to work through it. The end result is you are really not sure if everything has been completed. It looks like you could include an Ai review at the end. Neither business or personal is as easy to use as I would expect.

the business software is terribly glitchy. I wasn't able to import last year's return because of an error that it was in use. I wasn't able to add forms to the state business once i started the return and had to create a new return just for the forms i needed and put in all my data again. There was a print error and i had to print to pdf and then print from the pdf because of the error. there were other minor issues, but the large ones cost me hours and i'm about ready to change providers next year. Start-to-finish errors and bugs. Fire the developers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used the program in the past and found that the current years program would not pull up information from previous years. Also, I found numerous bugs and defects in the program, causing excessive time being wasted and workaround being necessary. I was greatly disappointed in the quality of these programs for the last two years.
