Gets the job done, but the font is small and hard to read. The software is not very self-intuitive - it's almost as if it's made for accountants and not the average layman. Error explanations are somewhat confusing, as I had to google the 'errors' to understand what it was that I needed to do to fix. The business software is not nearly as easy to use or user friendly as the personal software. The business software also glitches or 'hangs up' when going back to previous screens or fixing errors or returning to the 'errors' screen. Every time. I looked into using alternative software for business taxes this year but ended up not wanting to start from scratch when H&R Block imports all the info from the previous year. If I hadn't used it last year, I would NOT have used it this year. Or ever again. I may use Turbo Tax next year, as based on a demo I've used, it seems more user friendly.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You need to include a "save as" so I can take the return from 1 computer to another easier.

The additions and subtraction sections are not really "interview" format. You need to go thru them and try to determine if they apply to your return. Not easy for the uninitiated. It would be better if they had a leading question which would indicate that you should look at the particular item. .

I use this every year for home and business, and have come to trust the data. This year one item imported from last year (AGI) did not seem to match what the feds had and I had to use my own records to change the number to get it accepted as an eFile.

I had a question about the import feature from financial institutions. Right now the only way to import is if you use Quicken or get a TXF file from your financial institution. In the prior year versions there was a list of financial institutions that you could scroll through until you found yours and downloaded the data. The lady helping me checked to see if this might be corrected in the next update. I sure hope the update next week corrects this because it is a pain to have to enter all the stock trades.
