I really love the fact that it is so much cheaper than Turbo Tax. The premium and Business downloads in 2 separate programs which is a little confusing. It also has a flaw in reporting issues especially with entering your drivers license for NY State. Always comes back that it has an issue even thought it's correct. Also doesn't explain when it does the check and comes up with a concern. Other than that, it works find and easy to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Business module does not install on Windows 11.

The Premium software's Business module does not install on Windows 11. Very unhappy, may have to switch to Turbotax next year after using HRBlock for over 20 years!

Terrible tech help & they wanted to charge me for

Every year I have difficulty with your program and have to work around it. This year my business program didn't import from last year.i had to re enter all my info into a new form.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Relatively easy to use, but 2 errors in software

One place in the questionnaire asked about itemized deductions from prior year, even though I took the standard deduction. As a consequence, it added my prior year state overpayment to my taxable income, even though it is not. I didn't discover this until after the return was filed, so will now have to file Form 1040-X to correct. Also, a small penalty for underpayment of estimated tax was added which was also erroneous. This will also be corrected on the 1040-X. Generally easy to work with otherwise
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Used Block for last 5 years. Wish Block would add 1041 capability to program. Have to complete single person 1040 return and transfer schedules B and D data to 1041 form downloaded from IRS Webb
