The Premium product is excellent but the Business product was quirky in 2023 and 2024 requiring calls to software support.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I was disappointed that the 1040 software could not resolve an issue where my daughter was covered for 6 months with Obama Care, got married and then got 6 months of insurance through her husband’s work.
The business software to complete a trust 1041 tax return was difficult to use and was missing many of the features of the 1040 tax software.

The personal version works fine. The business section is buggy. Certain areas on form 1065 are not included in the interview and then flagged as errors. The qbi information is opaque at best. Why no help screen and interview? Other areas are not included in the interview and left to the user to figure out. Support has no ideas how to answer these questions although they were very nice and tried to help. The company does not seem inclined to fix these issues.

The program kept blowing up with year - refusing to do backups, refusing to let me change the name of the file I was working on. It finally settled down and let me do the returns mid February. I did every 'update' as they were available. This has not happened in the years before. I could not find anything in the help/support section. As far as the tax work, that was good when I could finally get the program to work.

Cons: Time consuming
