Sadly, the 1041 and 541 program not - I had to look for the 541 program in the forms section.

It’s more difficult to follow than TurboTax. It’s not very user friendly overall. It did not allow us to e-file our state 1065. It’s difficult to change any items you may need to. But the process was hundreds less and it did get the job done. It’s a very “DOS” experience.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Had to buy because TurbTax had fatal flaw that could not be corrected. It is desktop so could not load last years TurboTax return. Did not use any of the add on services (Don't need). Interview was reasonable to enter data and could easily go direct to section i could work on without interview. Upload of external documents was easy. Print output for worksheets was terrible and had to print specific form pages which is why this rating is 4 stars. Expect I will use again next year assuming i have no problems with ultimate Fed or State reviews.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

Bought the business package because I have to do a relatively simple 1041 return for a trust. Works well for our personal return but the business package is really clunky. Used it last year for the first time and expected that I could pull on the basic info from that return to start this year’s. Couldn’t do it. Also tried to find out where the return is stored but it’s hidden somewhere. Interview process is weak and doesn’t give many clues as to how to get down the right path unless you are a tax professional.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was disappointed that the 1040 software could not resolve an issue where my daughter was covered for 6 months with Obama Care, got married and then got 6 months of insurance through her husband’s work.
The business software to complete a trust 1041 tax return was difficult to use and was missing many of the features of the 1040 tax software.

The personal version works fine. The business section is buggy. Certain areas on form 1065 are not included in the interview and then flagged as errors. The qbi information is opaque at best. Why no help screen and interview? Other areas are not included in the interview and left to the user to figure out. Support has no ideas how to answer these questions although they were very nice and tried to help. The company does not seem inclined to fix these issues.
