Great Federal/State; Goodbye to Business Program

The Premium federal and state is excellent and I've been using it for years. The interview is excellent, the informational links are excellent, e-filing is excellent. However the Business software has many problems and after many years of trying with it I won't be purchasing it again. I just do simple trust returns and K-1's. The program will never import the prior year's return. The interview is rudimentary at best and inadequate in answering new issues without a lot of work going to external sources. and this year there were so many mistakes when I allowed the program to prepare DNI, accounting income and the K-1 that I ended up purchasing TaxAct On-Line for Estates and Trusts to prepare my trust return.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

As an experienced tax pro with Block I found it easy to navigate I was able to make it do what I wanted until I got to the Minnesota return. It automatically gave me a credit that I wasn’t qualified for and there was no way to correct it.

Barely sufficient, but there is telephone support.

Setting the stage: THE TWO reasons I'm glad I bought this is because you at least offer telephone support. , and the ND state software handled my K-1 for royalties well.
1. The product itself has far too many obstacles to overcome:
2. Not very intuitive at all - topics are frequently hard to locate.
3. "Instructions" assume we know where to find things - a LOT.
4. NO import option available for major stock broker tax documents.
5. Misdirection from 1099-MISC entry to demanding an accompanying 1099-K entry. Need to call to get a workaround.
6. Entering data for oil royalties was nothing short of a nightmare. Again, with (very weak) telephone guidance I managed to get through it.
7. Your "software experts" handing phone calls, as hard as they try, are anything BUT "experts."

If I had to do it over again, I would still buy your software because of the telephone support, weak and sloppy as it is - and - the fact that Turbotax, after my using it for 10 years, STILL can't handle a ND K-1.

Premium software is ok, business software is awful

I've used this software for many years.
The premium (personal) software is ok. Has a few quirks, but I got used to them.
I need the business software only to file form 1041 for a disability trust in favor of my daughter. This software is truly awful! For the first time this year, electronic filing was offered, but I couldn't do it because of inexplicable, often nonsensical error messages. I printed and filed paper as usual.
