I have been a 20 year plus user. The biggest problem is it is difficult to compare standard vs itemized deductions for state returns. It locks in either choice once a selection has been made or the fed draft amts locks in itemized on the state return. You can spend hours figuring out how to reset them and being warned you might not be able to file electronically. Please fix this or I may have to find another product. I file in two states (NY and RI) plus federal. I also thought you were not supposed to charge for filing RI returns

Cons: Time consuming

I bought it and installed. Business software worked for about a week and then somehow was incompatible with my computer. I had to purchase Turbo Tax to actually do my business return and it worked fine. The personal tax software worked fine. Just somehow it seems like HRB doesn't care about small businesses. I had used the HRB software for many, many years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the 'business' edition because I had a Trust 1041 to do, I was disappointed in the features of this program - but it did produce a usable return. The regular 1040 program comes up with too many "data verifications" and things that need to be fixed manually. Overall a fairly decent program, but not as easy as it could be.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
