While most of the features are amazing for taxes, crypto could use some improvements as only one ledger platform is supported and importing crypto transactions selects the incorrect reporting box for unreported transactions. In the future, an upload link for box c would be a big benefit along with supporting more than just one ledger platform.

I purchased HR Block Premium and Business because it is the program I have used in the past to prepare trust returns. For the past 3 filing years I have had continuous issues with the program crashing and causing extreme issues! This year was the same! To start with my computer crashed soon after uploading the software (may be coincidental, but may not be). Consequently, I loaded software on old computer (which had been replaced due to tax year 2022 business software crashing). I had to recreate prior year federal returns because despite prior year returns being loaded on the computer, I was unable to upload prior year data - I got an error saying “unable to access prior year data because prior year program was currently in use. Please close program and try to import data again.” When I spent the time to input all of the prior year’s data to recreate 2023 return, the program continuously crashed as I attempted to transfer federal data to state program. Eventually, after days of frustration and a lot of prayer, I was able to get the state program working just in time to finish before April 15. Bottom line, I do not trust the program and will be looking for an alternative next year.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once again had issues with it connecting to server. Would have to try several times before it would transmit or to look up information with the software. I had the same issues last year. I even bought a brand new computer and had fiber optic service installed. Very disappointed!

Instructions aren't comprehensive. Help isn't very good. Search capability is limited. I eventually gave up trying to get help from the software and went to AI or Google or IRS.

Great product. Easy to use. I import last years to prefill the current tax year data. This works for both personal and business taxes. I generate K1's from my business and enter those into my personal taxes. I can easily get a summary of Earnings, Deductions, Credits, and Taxes. And, if necessary, revisit any of the areas quickly from the summary page.
My one request would be to have the state allow e-file when tax credits are claimed. Today I must snail-mail my tax credit form with my state tax return. The business program allows uploads of pdf files. Please add that functionality to the personal tax program.
