I like the basic H&R tax prep software. It is fairly easy to use and understand. You folks need to add a feature for doing military tax returns that converts W-2 address info so you can e-file. You did not have that feature so I had to file my son's return by snail mail.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been using H&R Block software for decades. It just gets easier to use every year. Fills in information from last year that helps me fill in all the appropriate fields. At one point I was using it to file in 3 states. Now, it's just one and I use the senior form, so even easier

This is the first time we tried H&R Block software to do our taxes. We found it to be very cumbersome and not user friendly at all. Trying to go back to review previous entries to check or correct them was a major problem. We spent at least 10-12 hours working with the program which is excessive. Will not be using again next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
