Not much easier than manually entering the info on the PDF forms downloaded from IRS. Very difficult to get it to open the correct form for your return. Does not import transactions from financial institutions. Does not import from previous years Turbo Tax. Only benefit to using the software is the electronic filing. Even this is difficult to use as it is hard to tell when the return has been transmitted and accepted by the IRS.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great software in general, but they don't seem to ever fix the bugs. The same bugs occur year after year. I've been using the software long enough now that I know the workarounds to get past the bugs, but it's a little irritating that they never get fixed.
I would recommend this to a friend!
