I don't want to state file, I don't want deluxe. Stop making state filing an opt-out, rather than an opt-in with a difficult to find button. Stop pestering me to upgrade.

Easy to use, and seems to be thorough. I like that each year, the program imports what I did the previous year, saving me a fair amount of time.

Easy, as always. IRA Distributions problematic.

This is my fourth year with HR. All went smooth till I did an IRA distribution last year. Program kept plugging in numbers on forms and I ended paying an additional $150 on top of the taxes I withheld. That might have been a penalty, but once it was in the return there was no way to correct it. Then this year, the program filled in yet another form with numbers I couldn't match to anything from the previous year or this year. The tax amount was small and this time I had the option of deleting the form altogether.
After reading all the IRS information related to this transaction, I'm still in the dark. After I deleted the form, HRB gave me a clean go ahead, so I have to assume I won't be audited.
It would be nice to have better links to data on these transactions, rather than having to go to IRS publications. A Simple IRA Distribution shouldn't be so complex. Otherwise, the process went well. This is the first year I have eFiled, so stay tuned.
