I've been using H&R Block tax software for years. The first thing I like about it is that it can import information from the previous year's return, including all the personal information that's needed and the AGI amount that is also required. This year the IRS would not accept my electronic return so I had to print it out and mail it in with a check. The rejection process was a bit confusing. After I fixed what the notice said was in error I got a second rejection, but I that was after the notice that the return had been received (not necessarily accepted). I couldn't tell for sure if the return had been rejected or not. In the end, I could not not efile but I couldn't understand why.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

I was very disappointed that I was not able to import data from my Merrill Lynch account. In previous years this was easily done; but, this year ML was dropped as an import choice. I may switch to TurboTax.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents
