Great features, simple to use.

I've been using H&R Block Basic Software for Mac for several years. It takes all the pain out of doing my income taxes, and is even a little bit FUN!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import

So Easy To File With H&R Block

Year after year I dread doing taxes. And year after year I am pleasantly surprised at how easy they are to do with H&R Block tax software. Thank you again for walking me through a dreaded task...

Perfect for my needs

I have used H&R Block software for the past few years and find it to be accurate and easy to use. Having prior year information already entered makes the process speedy. E-filing is so quick and easy.

Update issues

Every time I tried to open the program it would get stuck in looking for updates. I finally figured out that if I disconnected from the internet, it would open. I could then connect to the internet and update. After the update, it would again get stuck, so I would have to end the program, disconnect my internet and restart the program.
After that, it worked fine (I think). Maybe I should do it manually to make sure. I've used this program for years and this is the first time I have had these issues.

Complete tax program

I like how H&R Block handles all of my taxes. Only one change that needs to be made; at the end where we are given the option to print for our records, it's great that you pre-check (select) the forms we need to keep, however, don't lock it so that we cannot unselect any of the forms. I know that we can go down and pick the forms that we want, but then we have to wade through all of it to pick out what we need (e.g. we do not need to print the filing instructions again).

I have used several tax preparation programs over the years. Each is slightly different and requires getting accustomed to, I think, but this one has done all I need for the past few years, is pretty straight forward, less expensive, simple and free to efile, and fully satisfactory for my needs.
